Thanks. Tried that but it says the same thing and won't launch. Anything else I can try? I am pretty computer illiterate when it comes to troubleshooting.
Check in /Library/Preferences/ and /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ for any file that might have microtek or scanmaker in it. It might also look like com.xxxxxx.plist . Delete these files that math the name, don't worry next time you open the app they will be recreated.
