Sorry, but there's really no way to emulate 9.2 *on an Intel Mac*. SheepSaver will emulate 7.5.2 up to 9.0.4 (not 9.4), so that's pre-9.2. For even that, you need both the MacOS and you need to extract the ROM image from an appropriate PowerPC Mac computer.
But - do you have an Intel Mac? Your signature reads "G5 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon" and there's no such thing. G5 is an IBM chip, and G5s running 10.4.x can use Classic mode. Mac Pro's use Intel chips, and can't run in Classic. -
Mar 6, 2008 10:44 AM in response to neuroanatomistby Aurora78,Hello,
I just copied down what it said in the 'about this mac' window... It says it's a dual-core intel, so I would assume that's intel... if there's no such thing, what do I most likely have? Thanks for your help. -

I need to run a program that says it will only run on 9.2 or OSX in classic mode. I haven't just tried it yet, as I don't want to spend the money and then find out later I can't get it to work.
What program is it? Have they made any updates to a newer OS X version? Are there any alternative OS X software programs that can meet your needs? If using the OS 9/classic program is essential with no alternatives in OS X/Intel world, maybe consider getting an older G3 or G4 Mac system that can boot OS 9.2 or run Classic under OS X, some of those models are fairly cheap now. Look for used Mac ads in your favorite Macintosh magazine.
