When looking at an angle you can see where I have been rubbing my finger for the past year. My finger no longer glides on it like it used to. I have to push my finger in a way. I tried cleaning it with a damp cloth. If there a coating or something I have rubbed off? Should I try cleaning it with more than just water? Whats my options here? It really is a nuisance.

You might try something like a damp microfiber cloth moistened with the stuff you clean eyeglasses with. Or maybe even something a little stronger like 409 or Fantastik. It could just be an accumulation of skin oils and grime causing the stickiness. If so, one of the above should remove it. Avoid using chemicals.

Good luck!

No problem, glad to help! I did apply mine as soon as I opened the screen for the first time, so, as yours already has been touched, it may not produce the same results (ie won't stick and stay for as long).
Additionally, if you're around an Apple Retail Store, you can also pick these up there. That's where I got mine and would have given the link but they expire.
Hopefully it works well for you and let us know what happens!
