sync only new music from itunes library

How do I sync ONLY NEW songs from my itunes library, without losing what's on it beforehand?

You can add new music without removing existing music on the iPhone, but if existing music that is already on your iPhone is deselected in iTunes, it will be removed from your iPhone.

I have a primary playlist call iTunes. I add songs to this playlist that I want on my iPhone and remove any songs from the playlist that I no longer want on the iPhone - or at least for the current sync.

you mean every time i want to add a few songs i have to wait while it re-adds all the songs already on it ???

If you are transferring a playlist or playlists to your iPhone, unless you remove a song from the playlist or playlists being transferred, nothing changes. If you add additional songs to a playlist or remove songs from the playlist, the songs added to the playlist will be transferred to your iPhone and the songs removed from the playlist will be removed.

Check "manually manage music, and drag them over to the phone from iTunes.

i want to know if i can simply 8 songs to my iphone without changing the status of the existing songs on the phone.

Are you syncing all songs and playlists or selected playlists?

These are the settings I'm using:

I created a playlist with iTunes named iPhone. I have my iPhone playlist selected to be synced or transferred to my iPhone - along with a few other playlists.

I add the songs from my iTunes library to my iPhone playlist that I want available on my iPhone.

If I want to add 10 additional songs to my iPhone that are not currently on my iPhone, I add the 10 songs to the iPhone playlist. When syncing, the 10 new songs added to the iPhone playlist are transferred to my iPhone only with no songs removed from my iPhone. If I want to remove 10 songs from my iPhone, I remove the 10 songs from the iPhone playlist and then sync. The 10 songs removed from the iPhone playlist are the removed from my iPhone with no other changes - unless I add new songs to the playlist and remove others at the same time before syncing. The songs added to the playlist are transferred to my iPhone and the songs removed from the playlist are removed from my iPhone only when syncing. No other songs already on my iPhone are touched/removed with this process - unless I make a change to my iPhone playlist.

When the iPhone is connected to iTunes, click on the phone in the left pane. On the Summary page, there will be a number of boxes in the center of the page, one of them will be manually manage music.

What version of iTunes are you using? I believe the manually manage music came out with the latest version. You may need to upgrade your iTunes.

What works for me is this. I have a playlist call iphone located in itunes. just the music I want on my phone is there. I sync only to this plylist. All you have to do is click and drag from the purchased folder to the designated (iphone) folder and your done. When you sync your phone it only adds the new song(s). Hope this helps.
