I just read the readme and it is not general it has very specific instructions.

1. On Tiger, open the ports 44176-44177 TCP in the firewall of your Macs (see the FAQ of the forum for more details). On Leopard, you’ll just have to click on “Alway Allow” the firsttime you activate teleport if the Firewall is on.
2. Install teleport by double-clicking on teleport.prefPane on every Mac you want to use teleport on: the main (controlling host) and the shared (controlled hosts).
3. Activate teleport on all your Macs by checking “Activate teleport” in the Preferences Pane.
4. Activate sharing on the Macs that will be controlled by checking the “Share this Mac” in the teleport Preferences Pane.
5. Your shared Macs should now appear on your main Mac, in the teleport Preferences Pane. Drag the screens around yours and start using teleport.

It goes on to say

First set-up
If you have only one keyboard and mouse, you’d probably dislike to have to plug them on your controlled Macs to set them up, after having installed teleport. You can now avoid this using one of these 2 methods:

1. When installing teleport on your shared Mac, check “Automatically accept” for the trust requests option in the Trust Hosts pane. Back to your main Mac, the trust request will be automatically accepted. Now that you’re in control, you should switch the setting back to “Ask me if it can be trusted” or “Reject if not already in the trusted hosts list” for more security.
2. Even easier: if you enabled encryption and you have the same certificate on both Macs (for instance, you registered the same .Mac account and activated encryption in iChat), teleport will automatically accept the trust request.

I dont understand why you said it only has general info.

OK.........got that done

completed

completed

sharing activated on macbook only,i want to control macbook with the minis keyboard/mouse

5. Your shared Macs should now appear on your main Mac,

they do

in the teleport Preferences Pane. Drag the screens around yours and start using teleport.

i can drag the macbook from the upper part of the pane to the lower and a prompt appears and i choose "always allow"
but how do i control the macbook? If i try to drag the macbook icon off the pane and onto the desktop it returns to the top section of the pane, and the process starts all over again
this is where i am confused.

Don't know why you're dragging the MacBook icon around at the end. Once you have arranged the screen icons in the pane (not on the desktop, not sure why you're involving the desktop in this) you can start using it.

What you're supposed to do is move (not drag anything, just move) the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen where you have arranged the mini screen to meet the MacBook screen. The edge of the screen should turn red and the cursor should move out of the mini screen, cross over, and start moving on the MacBook screen.

thats where i am not getting it
1.teleport is installed on both macs
2.share this mac enabled on macbook
3.always allow checked on all prompts
4.I open teleport pane on mini............Upper half shows Computer 5(mini) (shown in maroon) and MacBook(shown with Leopard wallpaper and IS dragable) Lower Half shows Computer 5(mini) (shown with Leopard wallpaper) and Computer 6 (Windows XP)(shown in BLACK) Niether of the icons on the Lower half of the pane are draggable or clickable)
5.As Stated above i can drag the Macbook Icon Anywhere on the lower or upper part of the pane
what i DONT understand is how the Mouse from the mini will appear on my Macbook,i am missing something somewhere.
i have drug the macbook icon all over the place i have moved the mouse cursor all over the place
to the momemt ALL i can do is just Drag that Icon
what i want to do is control the macbook with the mini

thanks

All I can say then is that it all depends on how you arranged the icons in the bottom of the pane. For example if you positioned the right side of the MacBook icon to touch the left side of the Mini icon, then they share that edge, and that's the edge the cursor can teleport across.

If that doesn't work, you will need to contact the company's support as suggested earlier.
