HP Photosmart C4280 Printer Software Installation Stalls or Stops

Hello!

I'm trying to install the software for my HP Photosmart C4280 Printer onto my MAC OS Leopard and while installing the program it stalls and I have "Force Quit" the program.
I have the printer connected by USB and it prints and copies fine without the printer installation. But the scanner won't work unless the program installation for the printer is complete. PLEASE ANYBODY THAT HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT I SHOULD LET ME KNOW!!!
