Time Capsule - backup failuer - error 11

I've had Time Capsule for about a week. After the initial backup I thought it was working great. However it started failing with these messages in the console log.

Other symptoms include very poor wireless network throughput while the Time Machine is running (backing up to the TC drive).

Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks!

The console log shows this:

When you started, did you "erase" the disk first? Have you contacted Apple? I know it's a pain, and it takes a while to find somebody who knows what Time Capsule is (I actually had one person say "What's a Time Capsule" when I first called in... 🙂

I've had mine for a week, returned the first one (defective, wouldn't keep even a wired connection live). I'm still fighting with the second one.

After lots of frustration - searching and starting over - along with the TC patch/update etc. I got TC working. I've shortened the names of the device and removed whitespace from the names, all kinds of stuff.

In the end I just erased the disk and started over.

So much for early adopters, there's still a few kinks in the TC as an appliance that you just plug in and forget.

I've had other problems - Console log error messages "error 21" could not mount volume. For these the solutions for me was to reboot the TC, via the AirPort Utility - I forget what button does a reboot - it is not labeled as such, but when pressed it tells you that it will restart the TC.
That fixed my latest problem.
