Chris -

I love that show!! (Yes, bbc's Top Gear).

The humor - the cars - and the LOOK!! I mean, where else would you have a 500k british pound german car, and a super-sonic RAF Jet parked on a runway with a low angle shot of the two and a RABBIT runs across the frame????

Brilliant! BRILLIANT!

Those segment shots are shot on film, yes? Amazing treatment if it's video.

there are all kind of different formats used in that show.

I used to work at the post facility where they onlined it and the whole thing goes through a Baselight - film type Digital Intermediate process.

There is no expense spared tho with that show.

It is a bit of a britsh institution - it was very different a few years ago (more of a magazine show)but now they have revamped it with that aircraft hanger studio element and more of those mad challenges.

If you have chance check out the one where they spend $1000 on a car and drive them across america -its great - buying firebirds with bullet holes in them and south central.... Jeremy Clarkson is the classic brit xenophobe who cant stand that the germans make such good cars- it's hilarious.
