unlocking a disabled iphone

HELP HELP!
so recently i lost my iphone and it was returned to me... after i already had everything disabled...

so my home screen says iphone disabled connect to itunes... then when i connect to itunes it tells me io need to enter my unlock code.

BUT when i SLIDE to unlock my screen it goes directly to the emergency call screen... so i can not unlocmy phone to reconnect it with itunes.

this is very frustrating.
any suggestions.

i have been on hold with apple for 35 mins.
and i went to At&t store and they told me all they could do is replace my sim card which they did.. and it still did not work.


any help for me here??

Turn the phone off completely (hold the top button until you see "Slide to Power Off")
With the phone disconnected, hold the home button down.
Keep holding it and plug the phone into the computer.

Keep it held through the Apple Logo.

iTunes should give a message that it found a phone in recovery mode.
Click OK and then click Restore.

geez.
so i got it all worked out on the phone with the apple tech guy at 1800 my iphone..

i left my phone in the bathroom at a car show... and the person that found it answered a phone call from a friend of mine and returned it to my friend.. i did not now he had it until after i disabled the phone.

needless to say i was freakin STOKED to get it back!
i was ready to go buy another NEW one... lol

so point is.. i didnt steal the phone a GOOD person returned it to me.!....

and i didnt go to an apple store because the closest store is 2 hours from me.
