unlocking a disabled iphone

HELP HELP!
so recently i lost my iphone and it was returned to me... after i already had everything disabled...

so my home screen says iphone disabled connect to itunes... then when i connect to itunes it tells me io need to enter my unlock code.

BUT when i SLIDE to unlock my screen it goes directly to the emergency call screen... so i can not unlocmy phone to reconnect it with itunes.

this is very frustrating.
any suggestions.

i have been on hold with apple for 35 mins.
and i went to At&t store and they told me all they could do is replace my sim card which they did.. and it still did not work.

any help for me here??

The phone has been disabled by AT&T due to the report that it was lost.

Did you notify AT&T that the phone was returned so that they can take the block off of the phone?

yeah i JUST left the at&t and they told me that they replaced my sim and if it doesnt work i have to call apple......

...
they didnt say anything about unblocking it though...
and i explained the WHOLE situation....

There's not a lot Apple can do for you. It's up to ATT to unblock the phone.

You could do a full restore of the phone and see if it'll allow you to set it up as a new phone.

i believe my phone is unblocked.. i have already spoke with att.. and gone to there store location.. they told me i need to take the situation up with apple.

how do i proceed with a system restore.

its very frustrating how expebsive this system is... and i am not even able to get it to function OR ABLE to get a hold of a representitive to speak with me.

Turn the phone off completely (hold the top button until you see "Slide to Power Off")
With the phone disconnected, hold the home button down.
Keep holding it and plug the phone into the computer.

Keep it held through the Apple Logo.

iTunes should give a message that it found a phone in recovery mode.
Click OK and then click Restore.

Correct, and I'm a little late getting to the forums tonite! 🙂 Also, you can hold the home and sleep buttons down at the same time till it goes into recovery mode. Also, you must do the restore from the computer that the iPhone is linked to. Let us know how it goes!

It doesn't matter if someone joined the same day as they post an issue/topic for help. Many people don't even know of this site until they talk to customer service or some representative and are told by them to check out this site for support.

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar in a nearby Apple Store and have one of them take a look at your phone.
If you don't mind me asking... why/how was it returned to you? Did someone catch the person that stole it?

geez.
so i got it all worked out on the phone with the apple tech guy at 1800 my iphone..

i left my phone in the bathroom at a car show... and the person that found it answered a phone call from a friend of mine and returned it to my friend.. i did not now he had it until after i disabled the phone.

needless to say i was freakin STOKED to get it back!
i was ready to go buy another NEW one... lol

so point is.. i didnt steal the phone a GOOD person returned it to me.!....

and i didnt go to an apple store because the closest store is 2 hours from me.
