Scheduled shut down

Scheduled shut down

Small problem, my energy preferences scheduled shut down time has never worked, ie it does not shut down my iMac 5.1 at the scheduled time. Any ideas how to get this feature to work??

iMac 20 core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Try deleting the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist file. Then reset your Energy Saver preferences.

Well, that's more than likely the problem. It's that .plist file that contains the schedule information. Try turning off your schedule information. Then re-open Energy Saver and reset them. Also use Disk Utility to repair permissions in case there is a problem in the Library folder.

Tried, but still will not shut down at scheduled time. Do I need this file? where could I find it? Thanks for your help.

It's created by Energy Saver when you set up preferences.
