Japanese IME w/ v.2.0?

Hi everybody. Sorry if this issue has been addressed already. We all know that the online manual stated that you could type in Japanese but that turned out to bee for the ipod touch only.

Does anybody know if we'll be able to type in Japanese when the 2.0 firmware update comes out?

We do not. No information about 2.0 has been released aside from what was mentioned in the March 6 town hall event.

Nobody here can possibly know the answer and Apple never provides this kind of info either. A web app workaround for typing Japanese for email is available:
