Very Frustrating problem!!!!

Sorry, if this topic has already been discussed...But I am on the verge of breaking something (and hopefully it won't be my macbook)...I am having a very frustrating time with Leopard/java/flash....

I was getting a ridiculous amount of crashes and "hangs" using firefox. I quickly noticed that these problems were occurring with websites that uses a lot of flash/java plugins, etc...So, what I did was stopped using firefox and used the "reliable" and "best" browser safari. Then I quickly noticed I was getting the same crashes and hangs on the same websites (espn.com; crooks and liars, etc...) So, I reverted back to firefox and disabled flash and seemed to work fine, but then, a new problem surfaced....

Now, with flash blocked, on random times and multiple times, firefox just stops functioning. Pictures won't load, text loads over each other...Then, when I try to shut down firefox it won't exit. So, I have to force-quit the program and launch everything again...So, I get crashes and hangs with flash enabled, and I get "idle" firefox with flash disabled.

Sorry for the long post...Does anybody have any suggestions or fixes???

Thanks

I started getting frustrated lately with all the Firefox crashes and did some experimenting with other browsers. Yes, I got crashes on Safari too. But I found that Camino was a great lightweight browser and I have yet to have any crashes with it. The bad thing is, it is not a versatile. There are no add-ons. I think that the cocoa language in more native to Mac's and it seems to do much better with transitions.
