COPYING AND PASTING TRACK AUTOMATION (VOLUME) - HOW TO DO IT????

Hi - I am trying to copy TWO measures of music - and copy the track automation data along with it.
This is a ridiculous frustration. There should exist a simple method of copying and pasting the track automation data to another location. I have used Digital Performer for over a decade - and it copies/pastes automation data right along with audio/midi data. Why is this so difficult, if not impossible, in Logic Pro? This is very frustrating, as I am copying and pasting all over the place, and having to re-enter track automation for every single instance of this simple two measure phrase. This automation is track based, not region based. I AM able to rubberband the volume nodes in the originating area, and AM able to MOVE them items left or right, but I am NOT able to copy the same events to another location. This is extremely frustrating - PLEASE help if you are a guru!!!

I think you need to shift-drag select (rubber band select) the
automation stuff and when it's highlighted, hold option, click hold
drag and what you selected will be copied to the new location you
drag it to. You need to be pretty careful to option click hold
exactly on the automation line, if you miss it won't invoke the copy
