New Panasonic Ag-HVX200

I have a Sony HDR-HC1 and am thinking of getting a Panasonic AG-HVX200. Will this improve my output much in FCP. I am not real happy with the results of my Sony. I am just an amateur, so I do not have access to anyone to learn how to use the AG-HVX200. Is there a source for learning how to use it.

Mac Pro 3GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.7), Memory 4 GB; 4 500 GB Internal, 3 External Harddrives; 4 GB Ram

IMHO, the HVX200 is far superior to just about any HDV camera; Sony or otherwise.

You won't believe how much simpler the workflow will become.

Moving from HDV to DVCProHD will be absolutely heaven, particular when doing titling, etc. There is no conforming which is necessary from HDV.

75% more color space and no Long GOP.

DVXUSER.com is good source.

Also Barry Green's book, which comes with the HVX200.

Do not buy except Panasonic authorized.

If you buy soon, from a company like specialized communications, you get a 16 GB card, battery, Green's book and free shipping

Hi,
there is not real reason to compare the two cameras. The HVX is so much better you will laugh at your current camera.
DVCPRO HD is a far easier format to edit compared to HDV and the HVX 200 delivers stunning images at standard and variable frame rate and impressive colour sampling (4:2.2).

Just google about the camera and you will find tons of info.

To learn about the features of this camera and what they do you could start with Bootcamp DVDs:

http://www.abelcine.com/store/product.php?productid=1000245

You will find more info, tutorials and reviews on the web.

HVX 200 is the best camera available in that price range.
