Rented movie: unknown error 5103

I keep having this problem. The first two movies I rented transferred ok to my iPod Touch. Since then I get the above error when transferring rented movies from iTunes to my iPod Touch. I had it with 3:10 to Yuma and Mr Brooks a few weeks ago and now with Eastern Promises. In between I upgraded to Leopard and also iTunes installed an update for the iPod. But still the same result.

Apple Support says this occurs when the clock on the Mac is out of sync. But that is not the case for me. The time on the Mac is current and is updated by the Apple time server over the internet. So what goes on here?

Rented movies loose most of their appeal to me if I can't get them onto my iPod.

Onno.

I am also having this problem. I cna play a rented movie fine on the PC, but I cannot transfer it to my ipod Touch, nor can I transfer the movie from a Mac to the ipod Touch.

I have made sure both computers are synced with a time server (mac syncs with apple, PC with nist). I don't think this is it since the computers will play the rentals just fine. the ipod matches the computer time the best I can by hand.

This used to work. I rented one movie a few weeks back and played it on my iPod just fine. Now, no movies will work.
