Question

MBAir - projector problems -yellow tinge

I've tried plugging my MBA into 3 LCD projectors and also an external PC monitor using the VGA adaptor supplied with it, but each time the projected image has a bright yellow tinge for some reason. This doesn't happen with my MB Pro. Any ideas?

System preferences, Color Profiles. You either define one manually or copy the settings from MB to MBA.

I have also tried connecting to multiple projectors, and it always has the yellow tint. I have stepped through every available color profile on the machine, and all of them have the yellow tint! I have tried mirrored mode and un-mirrored... I've tried all the available resolution options. I've gone through the color calibration tool with no success. I've tried to use the ColorSync tool to create a new profile, and it's still yellow!!! Has anyone resolved this issue successfully?

Went to local Apple store Genius bar and they discovered that it was a faulty VGA adaptor. Gave me a new one and all is well. I suggest you do the same. Good luck.
