MY IPOD NANO WONT CONNECT TO MY COMPUTER?

MY IPOD NANO THAT I JUST GOT 4 CHIRSTMAS WONT CONNECT 2 MY COMPUTER BUT IT CONNECTS 2 MY LAPTOP THAT I GOT 4 CHRISTMAS? BUT WATS WRONG Y WONT IT CONNECT 2 MY HOME COMPUTER? WHENEVER I PLUG IT INTO THE COMPUTER NOTHIN POPS UP AND IT USED 2 WORK ON THE COMPUTER BUT NOW IT DOESNT WAT SHOULD I DO?

First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.

Then try with the iPod in forced disk mode.

Putting iPod into disk mode.

Still no joy, See if any of these articles help.

Windows XP cannot detect an iPod.



USB drivers are not installed properly or are out of date.


iTunes 7 doesn't recognize the iPod.

iPod not recognized on a Windows laptop.

iPod not recognized on a Toshiba laptop.

Btw, please don't post in caps. It's considered shouting (and makes posts difficult to read). 🙂
