After Security Update today: "Bus error" when starting "ssh" client

Hi,

I'm using OS X 10.5.2 and updated my system with the newest Safari 3.1 and Security Update a few hours ago. After I did this update, I cant use the command-line ssh client anymore. When I start the ssh, I immediately get a "Bus error" on the shell.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Marc

Also related to this issue is that the syncserver daemon fails on a bus error when syncing to dotmac. I'm have the same problems on my MacBook Pro 2.2 Ghz C2 Duo but no problems on my Imac 1.8Ghz C Duo. Both are running the same software and versions of OS X 10.5.2 and have the same updates. I'm trying to determine the differences in settings, etc. Hopefully Apple will have a fix before then.

I read that Input Managers are to blame for a lot of problems after installing Mac OS X updates. Instant Hijack was mentioned on macfixit.com too. For me it was Safari Adblock and SafariStand that caused this problem. I had them installed in Input Managers and with SIMBL and removing them only from Input Managers fixed it. I shouldn't have had them installed in both places anyway. I just overlooked it.

I get this too. I'm using OpenSSH v4 built from sources as a stop-gap.

The binaries are here: http://www.fawlty.net/downloads/macssh.tar.gz. Download, place in your path and away you go. *USE THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO WARRANTY FROM ME.*

You will need to unset SSH AUTHSOCK or start a new ssh-agent if you use an agent otherwise this ssh will hang waiting for the authentication step - he ssh-agent binary is also bust on Leopard...

Let's hope Apple put out an update soon.
