Command line to view computers on my network

Question

Command line to view computers on my network

Is there a similar command for terminal like Windows NET VIEW command? I know that I can open finder and select network.

MacBook Pro 2.16GHz c2 15", Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Try netstat. There are lots of options so you'll want to read the manual. But

netstat -i

looks close to what you want.

I am not familiar with the windows command line (Mac fanboy here 🙂 ) but arp -a will typically give you a quick look at ip + mac addresses on the network.
