Personally I used the agent18 and I have to say its great for docking it because you don't have to take all of the parts off but it does scratch, I got my iphone stolen I got the 16GB this time I used the rubber case Incase is the company and its great I love it it even protects the side volume buttons as well and the on and off I love it!! Its a little pain to get out of your pocket but the protection is better than the agent18 in my opinion.

i never used a case for my iphone, but it picked up loads of marks and one day the screen cracked!! So i took it to my local Apple Store and got a replacement one. While talking to the guy helping me sort my iPhone out he said he used an iPod sock. I got a pack of them and i have to say they are spot on.

You get 6 (so you can change the colour which is a nice plus), they are a really good fit, they aren't to thick and don't make the iPhone become bulky and they are only £20 which is a fair price when you talking my iPhone cost my £269 plus £150 for the replacement one (granted my insurance will cover this £150 but if i'd have just laid out the £20 at the start i would have saved a lot of time n effort)

Hope this helps

Wildattorney-

I use Belkin's Slim-Fit Case. It fits great in my pocket. No issues taking it in and out of my pocket hundreds of times throughout the day; yet, there are a few minor issues. The first being there are times when it is rather difficult to get the iPhone out of the case. I have found that it is better to "dump" the iPhone into one's hand rather than trying to pull it out of the case. If one has butterfingers, I do not recommend this technique. Another issue is to ALWAYS make sure, if one is holding the case and swinging one's arm (like most people do while walking), to hold the case's opening up with a finger hooked over the top. Even though it is difficult to pull the iPhone out of the case, it can and will fly out on its own. The final issue is that the case tends to leave its fingerprint on the screen.

One advantage Belkin's case does have is that its bottom is a screen which allows one to hear your iPhone better, especially when it is in the case upright , not to mention when it's in one's pocket. The other "slim-fit" cases do not have this feature, so I assume the iPhone would have to be placed in the case upside down in order to hear it?

I also use Griffin's Streamline Armband for when I go to the gym. This is excellent. While I'm using the treadmill, I hook the strap on my thumb (I hold on to the treadmill's console - else I'll fly off. 🙂 ) which places the iPhone into landscape mode to watch videos. Then while I'm strength training it goes on my arm for music.

I hope this helps.

Personally, I favor the Incase one that someone mentioned earlier. It IS rubbery but I view that as a good thing. Sure a sleek one will slide in and out of the pocket easily, but when I had a sleek case like that, it slid in and out TOO easily and after it slipped out of my hand twice I decided to look for another case. My Incase one is perfect. I keep it in the back pocket of my jeans all the time (no trouble getting it in/out even though it's rubbery) and it doesn't slip out of my hand like the other one did. The downside is that you have to remove the case if you want to dock it, but I don't bother since it's just as easy to plug the cable into the bottom without removing the case. If you remove the case often it will start to stretch, so I'd just leave it on all the time. I may not have found everything out there, but I did a great deal of homework before choosing this one for $30.

I like the OtterBox cases for iPhone. They have the defender (water resistant) and armor (water proof) case. It's got 3 layers of support and it doesn't make the iPhone too big either. This site has reviews for the OtterBox cases that they offer, and it's pretty useful: http://semsons.blogspot.com. I just read on a blog from Semsons & Co. Inc. that they are offering free shipping on their unbeatable OtterBox cases for iPhones and BlackBerries. You can find the cases here: http://www.semsons.com/cases.html. This offer expires 4/14/08.
