stuck on 'partitioning disk'...

How long does the 'partitioning disk' setup of Bootcamp take?
I have left it for over an hour and still nothing seems to be happening.
Any ideas how I can get Bootcamp to install? or what I am doing wrong?

setup: I have a 2nd internal HD on my Mac Pro - which I select in Bootcamp, then 'create a second partition for windows', and I give it 32GB, then its stays on 'partitioning drive'...and nothing.

Should I use disk utililty to partition the HD? Any work arounds?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Hi david,

usually the BootCamp Assistant is quite fast with doing the partitioning.

Check with Disk Utility to see if that 2nd drive is set for the GUID partition table and also if the OSX partition on it is set to Mac OS Extended (journaled).
If not and you have nothing else on that drive, erase/partition it to one partition with the above settings.

Also make sure that your have Administrator Rights when running the BootCamp Assistant.
