on my ipod the album cover appears twice when browsing through albums and each of them have a song from that album can someone help me with this

I had the same thing happen on mine, it would have the exact same album listed like 3 times in a row in cover flow. I went into iTunes, clicked into the songs' info and then set the Album Artist as the exact same and that made them all go into one album on coverflow. You can have all the songs set to the same Artist but that won't do it unless the Album Artist field contains the same exact name on every track. Hope that helps you, it worked for me.
Ditto, but I did it to two discs of the same album and one song from the same artist. I just had to delete (disc 1) and (disc 2) from it's name and it fixed that issue.
Aw, thats something you'll have to deal with. I have the same issue and re-naming them still doesn't reduce it to one album (for me). Try making sure they match EXACTLY with eachother (this didn't work for me).
But it's the only apparent solution.

i did all that and it still doesnt fix it
u think i should take it back to the apple store?
I'd take it to the genius bar and see if they can fix it up. Are you able to take your computer with you? They could check settings and stuff to see. It has something to do with iTunes, not the iPod, I promise.
No, don't. This is most definitely a problem with iTunes, not your iPod.

Don't take it back its a bug
anyone kno wat it could be thats wrong wit itunes has anyone been able 2 fix it?
<post edited by Host> , you probably shouldn't return it unless a horribly infectious epidemic is revieled within the next week that states "All IPods with multiple versions of albums are prone to explosive tendencies and should be returned to your nearest consumer as soon as possible"
PS: I have the same issue, and unless its causing you to foam from the mouth or devlop an addiction to Old Navy Commercials and Cranberry Juice, than you should worry about it, its Itunes, not your Ipod.

Album names should match EXACTLY. Like said, remove the (Disc n) bits and use the Disc n of m tags.
And if it has more than one Artist, ie. it's a compilation album, then mark all the tracks as part of a compilation album. Watch out for this one, I have many albums with single tracks including a guest artist that throws out the whole album, ie. Led Zeppelin on 14 tracks and "Led Zeppelin & Pink Floyd" on a middle track gives me 3 album artwork graphics.
Happened to me, but I quickly corrected these and everything was peachy.
