Back and forward button
Why does my back and forward button don't work? Using Safari 3.1
iMac 17" INTEL 2.16 GHZ, 2 GB Ram, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

The first and easiest troubleshooting step involves replacing/refreshing the com.apple.Safari.plist file.
Quit Safari and find the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Drag the file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check Safari for normal behavior.
