In need of repair: Apple Store vs "Authorized Service Center" for warranty

I searched for what I am sure has been answered elsewhere, but to to avail.

My Mac Mini is still under the regular (not AppleCare) warranty. For warranty service, do I have to take it to an Apple Store, or can I take it to an authorized service center (specifically, I'm thinking of MicroCenter)?

Thanks

You can take it to either, whichever is more convenient to you. Personally I would generally go for the authorized service center unless I was hoping to get a 'Genius' to look the problem over first. Service centers are often more flexible when it comes to repairs, allowing things that Apple themselves won't do (such as installing third-party RAM).
