Navigate to your iTunes Music Folder thru the Finder, do Get Info (command + i) and see if you have Read and Write permissions on the folder AND click the button that says Details and make sure that Read and Write is Applied to the Enclosed Folders. You might also try repairing permissions in Disk Utility.
Also...do you have Admin privileges on your user account on the Mac?iBook G4, OS X 10.3.9, Mac OS X (10.3.x), iTunes 7.6, iPod Video (and an old iMac running OS 9)

So far I'm 0 for three.
I do have Admin privileges, and I do have read and write permissions on the iTM Folder. However, I did not see the "Details" button.
Repairing permissions didn't work either.
Thank you for your time. If you have any other suggestions, I'd be willing to try them.iMac G5 (1.9 GHz PPC), Mac OS X (10.5.2), Black MacBook, 8g iPhone, 80g iPod Classic, 30g 5G iPod

Underneath that there should be a button (triangle) for Details. (Unless that option has option has moved in Leopard??????) Click that and you should see the option to Apply to Enclosed Items. You may have to scroll down to Details.iBook G4, OS X 10.3.9, Mac OS X (10.3.x), iTunes 7.6, iPod Video (and an old iMac running OS 9)

I seemed to have fixed the problem though. I just deleted the library and re-imported it. The only thing I did different was deauthorize the previous iTunes. Don't know if that was it, but it worked this time.
Thanks for you time and help.iMac G5 (1.9 GHz PPC), Mac OS X (10.5.2), Black MacBook, 8g iPhone, 80g iPod Classic, 30g 5G iPod
