importing .amr files?

I don't know, what the heck is an *.amr file?

I went and looked it up..

LOL - it sounds absolutely crap, I sometimes do field recordings with my mobile when I don't have my Marantz and my directional mics with me but those amrs are absolutely useless unless you like the tinny sound of it or use it as an artform. In Logic 7 I used to be able to drag and drop those into the Arrange - in L8 this is no longer possible.

Yes the Compressor program that comes with Logic Studio does this very well - just did a test converting an amr into a 44.1 aiff file - didn't improve the sound but it works 🙂

Compressor is a great app - you can convert almost anything into anything - doesn't work for transforming bad music into good music though...
