Are there any good games I can play on my Macbook (gma 950)

dont get a macbook.
ive got one and in the past 6 months ive had the following go wrong:
disk drive warp, palm rest crack, paint chip, possible hard drive failure?, broken key, super hot conditions, and above all else.... horrible compatibility issues.

I don't know what you want though, I have GBA and N64 emulators on my Macbook, and have a lot of ROMs in my Macbook too, usually i play these games, remind for u: whenever you play a game on Macbook, the fan is going to run really fast and makes noise, what you need is a cooler or what i do is put 4 erasers under my Macbook, so it won't touch the table surface and get so hot. Macbook is not a computer that's good for playing games. Also, I have War Craft 3, and some other games bought from store, but i don't use it on my Macbook, afraid it's going to shorten computer's life.

Give you some games for Mac: "Halo for mac" / "Battlefield 2142-(I like it)" / "Call of Duty-(another great one)" / "1893: A World's Fair Mystery" / "Age of Empires III" / "Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII" / "Doom 3" / "SimCity" / "Quake 4"

I have a X3100 but The Sims 2 should run fine on a macbook (with 2gb of RAM, even though I only have 1 gig). And I've got Call of Duty 2 running veeeery welL!!! 🙂

How could I upgrade my RAM from 1Gb to 2Gb? go to apple store? Or just buy it somewhere else?

Ramseekers.com will let you find the best deal in RAM - I generally just go to NewEgg and MacSales.com and buy which ever has the cheapest deal that day. Both are great companies to do business with.

i have a macbook (with gma 950) and battlefield 2142 and it doesnt work. in the readme file, it says: "This game will not run on the GMA 950 class of integrated video cards."

Check out FreeVerse Software WingNuts 2, Pangea Cro-Mag Rally, and look for game reviews in MacWorld magazine for other ideas.

Many games have trial versions for free download so you can try them out before buying the full version. The Lego Star Wars demo works fairly well on an external 20-inch monitor in 1600x1200 resolution.

They have a mac version, it works great on my macbook.

Halo is mac compatible and will probably be fine on your macbook.

I've heard of World of Warcraft working on a macbook.

If you have bootcamp or CrossOver, the original Counter-Strike (1.6) is always fun.

I have the 1.83 Macbook with 2 GB of ram and I run Sims 2 fine on it without messing with the settings. It runs extremely hot though. Ideally my new iMac is better for games and runs better but the MacBook is good for occasional gaming on the couch. I wouldn't advise a Macbook for any hard core gaming. The heat of the thing always freaks me out.

I have The Sims 2 running on a MacBook 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM (Late 2006) with the GMA 950, connected to a Cinema Display 23". It's at 1920x1200, and with all the settings on full, it's perfectly smooth, as long as you quit other apps before you launch the game!
