Media write error (0x0C,0x00.) is preventing me from publishing..HELP!

Question

Media write error (0x0C,0x00.) is preventing me from publishing..HELP!

Projects updated from DVD Studio 3 won't
write. I remade project completely in DVDSP4 but
get same error.
How do I check for bad assets????

Hi

It sounds like a media (burning) error, not related with your project design. Try first building your project to your hard drive , or even better, * Creating Disc Image in DVDSP * that you can mount and test with DVD Player. If it works fine, try burning using Toast or Disk Utility like the tutorial shows. DVDSP uses to be too much sensitive to media and you cannot change buyrning speed.

You can read * about quality media * and try with another first quality brand.

THANKS
I have cheap DVDs from B&H many bad
I output the new proj into a new build folder
can i use the TS/D folders from there directly into
Toast or do i need to rebuild on HD as image.

Hi

Using the image workflow you cannot make a mistake using the wrong DVD format in Toast.

No matter that check in the video options of Toast and use the *Make DVD from a VideoTS folder* option (or something similar, I have no Toast in front of mine now!) and it will be fine.

THANKS AGAIN
IT seemed to work it burned in Toast fine
but the disc navigation wouldn't work...!
I did not initially include the AUDIO TS folder from the build folder
because it was empty but there appeared one on the toast burn???
DVDSP is working fine for my other (shorter) projects!
Try disc image?

I would delete all previous build folders and build again and create the image file.
