Problems With Agfa's ApogeeX and DNS Servers
I work for a printing company that uses Agfa's ApogeeX software as our primary RIPing workflow. Prior to upgrading to Mac OS X 10.4.x, the software worked just fine in OS X 10.3.9, with all the appropriate connections to the hardware running the Apogee X system operating as it was supposed to.
As soon as I upgraded my machine to 10.4.1 (and all subsequent updates), ApogeeX no longer could recognize the DNS settings between the client machine (mine) and the hardware machine (the Windows machine that runs the ApogeeX system).
No network settings have been changed from the Panther system to the Tiger upgrade on either machines. Agfa insists that since the software is running in Tiger and can see the machine that's running ApogeeX that it is a networking problem. They are also saying that they have not seen anyone else with Tiger experiencing this problem.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and if I have not given enough information, let me know what else needs to be known.
