iPod frozen on Do Not Disconnect with hold button frozen on

I plugged it into my computer, it said Do Not Disconnect, then didn't register on my computer, I tried to fiddle with it. Realized the hold was on. Slid the hold to unlock it, but it still says it's on hold! How can I unfreeze this if the hold is stuck on? My warrantee is up. I must fix this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

Wrong forum! A touch doesn't have a hold button. Try another forum.

Are you able to restart the ipod? Hold down the home and sleep button until the slide to power off slider appears. Slide to power off, then hold the home button again to restart. If not just restore the ipod. Open itunes, hold down the home button while plugging the ipod into the computer, wait until itunes asks if you want to restore the ipod. If it asks restore the ipod as a new ipod, don't use the backup offered by itunes.

If you have a Touch, you can't use it with 10.3.
