no audio in PP when opening with Keynote

When I receive a ppt presentation, open it with Keynote and play a slide show, I get no audio. If I open it with PowerPoint I get the audio. What's up with that? Shouldn't I be able to hear powerpoint audio with Keynote?

Thanks for some insight on this.
