I think I'll try the link first.

Hope I can find my Install CD.

🙂 THANK YOU! The instructions are pretty complicated...hope I can figure it out LOL

THANKS!! I wasn't sure if I could recover this. I have avoided putting passwords on my "keychain" because I don't understand the instructions for that either LOL

Ok, that isn't working. I brought up the install CD while pushing C (control key?) and got a menu, but there was no "choose reset password from the Installer menu (or Utilities menu in Mac OS X 10.4 tiger" option.

?? *scratching head*

Pulled it up again. These are the categories that are showing:
Read Before You Install
Apple Hardware Test Read Me
Install Bundled Software onlly
xcode Tools
Welcome to Tiger
Install Mac OS X and Bundled Software
Applications
etc
Japanese
Libraray Optional Installs
system
tmp
var

and, that's it. No mention of a password reset.

?

It worked 🙂 I was pressing the wrong key. I was clicking the Control key, but when I used the C key on the keyboard, I got the menu.

Thanks everyone!

I do now have a new problem though. It is prompting this password every time I click on anything. I can't find out how to "turn it off" I don't want to have to keep typing it in LOL It says it is prompting my for my keychain password. I just close the window and that seems to work, but it keeps popping up. Oh well 🙂
