Hi there. This is a new one, I believe, and haven't been able to find anything already posted here about it. I was just diagnosed with pink-eye this morning, and the symptoms began last night, as I was playing with my iphone. I've got medicine and everything, but want to clean my iphone so it doesn't have any of the germs on it, that I could touch and then spread to others in the house. How should I disinfect it?

The surface is simply made of glass. Any product designed to disinfect computer equipment will to the job.
If I wanted to disinfect my iPhone I would use surgical spirit. I've never used it on my iPhone but I use it to clean keyboards, mice etc.
I just have to be careful not to use anything with ammonia, correct? I have some pre-moistened lens cleaners for glasses and computer screens. What about the rest of the body of the phone?

I would probably use one of those alcohol pads like they use before they give you a shot.
does an alcohol pad have ammonia in it?
No, just alcohol.
wrap it in Plastic wrap from your kitchen the touch screen should work fine through it
LOL ... I like Earless Puppy's idea. 🙂
I'd go with the alcohol pad like others have suggested or a cloth or cottonball moistened with alcohol. I would be careful of just HOW moist it is, though. I've seen some alcohol pads that are almost dripping -- I'd be afraid to put that on MY iPhone, personally. Just suggesting that if you get something really moist, you may want to squeeze some of the moisture out.

Apple says not to use anything with alcohol in it either:

I'm not sure what would be safe to use that would be antibacterial. iKlenz says that it's antibacterial. You might also be able to use something like Falcon's disinfecting wipes which contain neither alcohol nor ammonia. The compound Falcon's wipes use is also used in mouthwash, so it's unlikely to be harmful to the iPhone, though I cannot say for sure.
