disinfecting iphone

Hi there. This is a new one, I believe, and haven't been able to find anything already posted here about it. I was just diagnosed with pink-eye this morning, and the symptoms began last night, as I was playing with my iphone. I've got medicine and everything, but want to clean my iphone so it doesn't have any of the germs on it, that I could touch and then spread to others in the house. How should I disinfect it?

LOL ... I like Earless Puppy's idea. 🙂

I'd go with the alcohol pad like others have suggested or a cloth or cottonball moistened with alcohol. I would be careful of just HOW moist it is, though. I've seen some alcohol pads that are almost dripping -- I'd be afraid to put that on MY iPhone, personally. Just suggesting that if you get something really moist, you may want to squeeze some of the moisture out.

Apple says not to use anything with alcohol in it either:

I'm not sure what would be safe to use that would be antibacterial. iKlenz says that it's antibacterial. You might also be able to use something like Falcon's disinfecting wipes which contain neither alcohol nor ammonia. The compound Falcon's wipes use is also used in mouthwash, so it's unlikely to be harmful to the iPhone, though I cannot say for sure.
