PostScript Printing in the Raw!

I have successfuly installed and setup (via LPD/LPR) 2 PostScript printers...

1- Ricoh Aficio 270
2- Savin 9927 DP

When printing to them using TextEdit and a simple "TestPrint" string, the results of the print are nothing but raw PostScript data in tabulated form.

example of first line;

%!PS-Adobe-3.0

Does anyone have a clue of what's the matter???

Then you probably just need to enter the printer's queue name. It is probably found in the unix/linux setup instructions. print, PASS_THRU, LPT, P1, RAW, are all common ones.

(Queue name is part of the printer's address in the IPP and LPD protocols - these protocols are designed for multiple printers using one IP address - queue name differentiates between them)
