Can you view total run time for a show as you create or edit it?

Created a slide show and after I was finished I played it and discovered it was 20 minutes. Is there a way that you can check the total project playing time while you're creating or editing the show?

Welcome to the Forum.

Keynote does not calculate the run-time of the slideshow while you are creating it, but it will tell you the elapsed time on the Presenter Information window during playback if you set the Keynote Preferences accordingly:

Keynote Preferences / Presenter Display
- check the box marked Use Alternate Display to view presenter information
- check the Timer box
- check the Elapsed Time button

It is always a good idea to run the slideshow on the same computer that you will use for presenting it. The actual duration of all Builds and Transitions is dependent on the speed of the processor of the playback computer, so the timings you have created for your slideshow may vary if created on one machine and presented on another.

Good luck.
