Disable text-wrap

I was wondering if there is anyway to disable text-wrap in TextEdit? If this is not possible is there any fast/light-weight text editor that has this capability? I do a lot of programming and usually have to print out large matrices to a text file and text-wrap is messing up the format of my data. I need a way so I can read the file like 'notepad' or 'wordpad' in windows. Thank you.
