Error 79 in HP printer
For all the others who have posted about error 79, Tiger 10.4.3 doesn't fix "Error 79.001FE" problem with our HP 5100tn printer. Sometimes it is "79.00FE". 100% repeatable when trying to print emails from people who have graphics in the background and with certain websites. From the HP site we have tried:
1) upgrading firmware of printer
2) upgrading firmware of printer's network card
3) installing very latest drivers from HP site.
4) upgrading to new version of Tiger 10.4.3
5) deleting the HP folder and drivers from drive and reinstalling all new.
At this point we're going to replace what is a great printer and one that gave us no trouble until Tiger. What a shame.
