Call or bring it to apple. It will cost you 250.00 if you have the 8gig and they will give you another phone.

Unfortunately the warranty only covers factory defects, not misuse or abuse. 😟 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

If you bought additional AppleCare for this iPhone, I know it would not cover water damage, but would the additional AppleCare be SOL, or will the $249 repair price reinstate the warranty?

File this under "Might as well, what have I got to lose?" but it may work.

Put the phone into a sealed cup of dry rice and place it in a warm, well lit area. The rice will try and scavenge as much moisture as possible from the air, and may help pull water from inside the iPhone. If you have silica packets, those might help too. Think dessicants.

Your homeowner policy or credit card company might cover the cost of a replacement phone.

When you get the replacement phone, you would have a warranty on that phone.

If you have a food dehydrator, put it in there ASAP. I've salvaged several phones and watches this way. Leave it on low for a good while, at least 24 hrs.

Some salt could do the job

Salt could also cause corrosion 😟.

iPhone Jerky? ummmmm
