iPhone went swimming...and drowned

Today, my daughter dropped her iPhone in the pool...it is only 4 months old so it has a warranty but I am wondering if there is any use in trying to get it fixed or should I just count it a loss?

I like the OtterBox cases for iPhone. They have the defender (water resistant) and armor (water proof) case. It's got 3 layers of support and it doesn't make the iPhone too big either. This site has reviews for the OtterBox cases that they offer, and it's pretty useful: http://semsons.blogspot.com. I just read on a blog from Semsons & Co. Inc. that they are offering free shipping on their unbeatable OtterBox cases for iPhones and BlackBerries. You can find the cases here: http://www.semsons.com/cases.html. This offer expires 4/14/08.
