Overlaying a Photo

Hi Guys,

I have a really simple question... How do i overlay a Logo for example over video. (you know like the MTV logo on TV.)

I need to put a logo in the corner but can't find a way to do it, also i've tried creating a png file with a transparent background, but this doesn't seem to work either?

Please can someone give me a full runthrough
