I want to blur sections in pictures...

i work for my school's yearbook, and some pictures of the students have gestures not allowed by the school. is there a plug-in for iphoto or other free application that i can use to blur out certain areas of the pictures? thanks in advanced!

I've use iPhoto's retouch tool to blur parts of some photos and it will work fine if the object isn't too large.

Not really in iPhoto - try the retouch tool but I do not think that will do what you want

Third party editors like Photoshop Elements can do it

the "retouch" tool in iPhoto (icon is a paintbrush) might be able to help you blur it out. but you're best bet is to use some actual photo editing software. you might want to check out the free Photoshop express:
