Convert swf file to mov

I am trying to convert a fairly large flash swf file into a Movie file. I have done it in Flash, but the file is 300 megs! Could i compress it in Quicktime OR
Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a Flash swf file to a .mov file in Quicktime Pro? I have tried and doesn't seem to give me the option to open the swf file...

Also, I can only find other PC platform based freeware to convert files, not MAC based software...any help would be appreciated?

The page is confusing. Under Export To QuickTime, it starts with:

This function has been removed from QuickTime 7.1.3 so it does no longer work in iSwiff.

Then goes on to say how it works. I just tried to use this to export a .swf I used to do successfully with QuickTime Pro, and iSwiff wasn't able to do it.

Thanks a bunch!

I tried it, looks like iswiff doesn't work so well with newer versions of Flash...
says Flash files which use newer features may not work well.

Thank you soooo much. Just used visual hub and it worked great for burning to DVD. Now is there a free Mac download that can convert flv (flash 8) to .mov?

You should be able to use your copy of VisualHub to do the conversion of .flv to .mov as well, I believe.

If you have perian insalled on your machine you can use mpeg streamclip to convert from FLV to quicktime and it works really well, i tried it this morning and it was perfect. God ****.....i love mpeg streamclip.

I can advise you the Macvide FlashVideo Converter to convert a flash swf files into a video files.
