My Ipod DOES NOT show up in my computer or in iTunes. Help please?

I connect my ipod to my computer and nothing happens. The little battery at the top right corner says its charging but the ipod does not show up in my computer, device manager, itunes or anywhere. I have tried restarting my ipod, using it in disk mode, uninstalling itunes, repairing itunes, restarting my computer, tried different cords, all of my usb ports are working perfectly fine cause i tried connecting other hardware and they worked, I've tried to use my ipod on other computers and it does the same thing on their computers also. SO lol what do I do? Sometimes my ipod will display the do not disconnect and make the sound of my computer realizing that it has just been connected but then 2 seconds after it makes the noise of the ipod being disconnected. Any help would be amazing because I am all out of any other ideas! Thank you!
