ITUNES for windows keeps popping up to the front of my windows.

I am running itunes 7.6.2.9 and windows vista ultimate.

I can start itunes fine and use it on a daily basis. But, every 15-20 seconds if I'm in another window, the itunes windows brings itself to the front. I could be typing an email, looking at a web browser and it bring itself to the front. If I minimize it, the same thing. If I click on outlook or IE that's behind it, itunes will just pop to the front on it's own after 15-20 seconds.

How do I stop this?

Have you got any secondary windows open? Visualizer, album art, "Get info", dialog, preferences, etc. These are supposed to keep themselves in front of the parent window but instead promte themselves to the very front... Particularly annoying when iTunes asks you to make space to save the library and then keeps getting in the way while you try to sort things out. With no seconday windows iTunes will happily stay in the background for me.

nope- i keep my itunes very minimalistic and have none of those being used. It is still doing it. One thing I have noticed over the past few days is that sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not (i.e., there's been one time in the past few days that it has not been doing it to me). However, I cannot isolate any factors that might have been different during that time period.

WAHOOOO i have found an answer!!!!!
i run windows live messenger, and when i have the windows live messenger window open, with "show what i'm listening to" on, it brings it up every 30 seconds. What I found is, even though "show what i'm listening to" is on, m song still isnt coming up, maybe that has something to do with it So Untick it.
Also another option i have hard is opening iTunes as administrator, by right clicking on the incon and selecting run as administator. I'm not sure if the latter works or not.
