Yes, it can. The new lines of Macs have Intel chips; they come with the Mac OS installed, but you can also install and run Windows on them, either through virtualization software (not suitable for gaming) or Apple's solution - Boot Camp, which allows you to boot your MBP into Windows (you need to have a Windows license, XP SP2 or Vista). When you boot in Windows, you have a high-end portable "PC" (in a much nicer form-factor).

Hope this helps...

very helpful cheers man, so when i buy my mac, i should buy a copy of windows, and download boot camp from apple? and it will turn my mac in to a pc, cool,

i see on some website, that they reccomend, this is for mac computers, they reccomend battlefield 2142, does this mean mac can play this? because i have this game on my pc, i have cs source too, was bf2142 made for windows AND mac, whilst cs source was just made for pc??

Correct across the board, well almost. Buy a copy of Windows or transfer it from your existing PC if you're not keeping it. No need to download Boot Camp, it comes with Leopard (the current Mac OS); there's a setup assistant that will walk you through partitioning your HDD and generating a driver disc you'll need as part of the Windows install. Be aware that when you "turn your mac into a pc" there's a downside to that, too (but one you're used to) - you'll need the usual virus/spyware protection on the Windows side (there aren't any of those things out there in the wild on the Mac side).

Battlefield 2142 (and many EA games) are available for Mac and Windows. You'd need to buy the Mac version to run under OS X (I'm not sure if they do cross-grades). CS Source is just for Windows.

Thing is mate, you technically have a PC since every piece of hardware component on your MCP is PC compatable. When you pop Windows onto your MAC via bootcamp or any other way, you're really running Windows in a pure PC environment.

ANYthing made for Just-PCs or Just-MACs will run just fine depending on what OS you boot up in.

On that note, these little MCP are wicked little gaming machines. They have nvidia 8600GT video cards, 128mb or 256mb of memory depending on your system. I have the 128mb version and play HL2 no issues. Tons of fun and smooth.

Now, BF2142 I've not tried yet...but I'm sure you'll not have issues.

Have fun!
