Bluetooth & Epson RX585 - Error 0xffffffffe

Hi there, thanks for the help on this in advance ...

I have bought a bluetooth adaptor for my Epson RX585 Printer, have installed the latest drivers and have tried to connect to my printer via Bluetooth.

The Macbook Pro sees the Printer, and attempts to connect. It asks for the pass key which I enter (0000) and it then says it has found all the information it needs and asks me to click continue - at which point it states it can not configure the printer and gives the error 0xfffffffe

I have ensured that the pass key is correct on the Printer, but it still won't connect

Could anyone shed any light on this?

Macbook Pro 17" 2.6ghz 4gb Ram, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

I think your best course would be to talk to Epson since that looks like an Epson error and not an Apple error.

I am having a similar problem with an Epson RX580. I found another similar complaint and they referred to this link: http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3
I am in the process of attempting to use these driver's. I hope this may help you.

If Epson has provided a driver for Bluetooth, I'm pretty sure you'd have to add the printer by clicking More Printers and selecting Epson Bluetooth (or similar). Is that what you're doing?
