Getting rid of the little picture that accompanies my outgoing emails

Hey all...

this is super basic, I know. Can't seem to find a post on it though.
Anyway, I think I took a picture when initially setting up my computer, then to my dismay realized it was on all my outgoing correspondence.

Yikes!

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Welcome to the discussions, Solanpete.

I think that you will find that, good or bad, the wee picture is not actually going with your messages. When displaying messages, whether in the Sent mailbox or the various received boxes, Mail will display a picture of the sender if you have added one to their contact card in Address Book. While it can be useful with received messages, it can get a bit tiresome to see endless reproductions of yourself (I KNOW what I look like and don't like to be reminded!) in the Sent box.

You can change your picture, or use one of those supplied by Apple (I currently have the cute doggie) in System Preferences/Accounts. I don't think you can have none, so you could use your camera to take a picture of a blank sheet of paper and use that.
