Apple IIGS Rom upgrade

Hello,

Someone give me an Apple IIGS some month ago, and I try to run the latest OS for it, but it says to me that my ROM are to old (it's one of the original, non woz, IIGS, that wasn't get the ROM01 upgrade...)

Does someone know a way to get a Rom upgrade? (or burn myself an EPROM with the rom content and replace the original ROM with the EPROM, but this solution need to know the correct ROM pinout, something I didn't have)

Thanks

MBP 2.4Ghz 15", iBook G4 1Ghz 12", and some OldWorlds and 68k, Mac OS X (10.5)

Hi, Godzil -

If you can burn a ROM, the ROM01 code is a drop-in replacement for your ROM00. You can't plug in a ROM03 into your board - there were other hardware changes that happened along with ROM03. But 00 and 01 are swappable. Sorry, I don't have expertise on pinouts, etc...

ROM00 chips are fairly rare. You may want to advertise on the comp.sys.apple2.marketplace newsgroup ( http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.apple2.marketplace/topics) for a trade for a ROM01 for your ROM00. There may be others that would like it.
