Can't see my hard drive through finder

Hello all

On my Leopard I've opened up finder.

I've checked the preferences of finder and I've ticked the box that says Hard Disks in the the General tab previously, and subsequently.

In my Devices drop down in Finder there is an Icon with my mac's name underneath it, and in that there is at Network Icon, because I have that ticked in my General tab in my preferences, but there is no hard disk shown there.

It's not in any of the other places available to me in the that pane in finder either.

I've tried restarting many times, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the hard disk showing again? It used to be there.

Thanks for any suggestions

Imac PowerPC G5, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Hi vanderkerkoff

You need to open Finder Pref's and then select the "Sidebar" Tab , you can then make sure hard drive is checked in here.
